Back online from our break so online business as usual
We have not yet determined when we will reopen to the public, meanwhile pickups can be
Tuesday noon to 1pm
Friday noon to 1pm
Saturday 10am to 11am
Must be paid for by 4pm the day before
We are cutting down to one mail pickup a day starting 3rd April
This will be in the mornings, so items paid for by 4pm will be in the mail next morning.
This is due to Australia Post varying the time of the afternoon pickups Can be any time after
2 pm now so cannot guarantee items. Previously it was 5pm.
Our online business is not directly affected by COVID19, however we will NOT open our
warehouse to the public this weekend until further notice.
Whilst we can sanitize counters, EFT machine, our hands etc, and have 20 sqm of space to
spread out, we need to consider that the big part of being open is so that your houndies can try
on sample clothing. We cannot possibly keep every piece of clothing sanitized between
Also consider that if a dog is patted by an infected person, then the dog becomes an infected
'surface". That would also mean no patting from strangers.
So, we continue with our online business as usual. We source most of our polar fleece locally, and
have enough to make around 1,000 cosy home coats/swanky warmers. And enough cotton for
several hundred swanky tees. Greyhounds will not freeze this winter!
Our ports are still open for freight so we are still receiving stock from our international partners.
This will change as countries go into lockdown, but we have received two deliveries this week,
and two more have just arrived in Australia and are awaiting customs clearance. Some of the
more popular items may run out
(yellow and purple raincoats).
I am currently very busy with orders and we are moving stock around so please be patient with
emails and messages.
We will continue to support rescue with foster coats.
Take care everyone we can get through this.
Swanky Warmers and Swanky Tees available via Facebook.

Annie's Coats has been keeping Greyhounds warm since 2005.
Starting off with fleecy cosy home coats to keep rescue Greyhounds warm, the
range expanded in 2015 to include imported hipster allsorts, waterproof mother-
snuggers, tartan walking out coats. quilted warmers, and the hipster all season raincoats.
With each season we try to bring something new - the cosy cardy and chesty allsorts being the
latest designs we have created and had made up for your houndies pleasure.
Autumn / summer has seen the addition of lighter options for sleeping walking, and
venturing out in showers and bright sunlight too!!!
100% cotton tees and polo shirts are the latest addition - designed for greyhounds
they are very popular.
Making and donating fleecy coats for many independent rescue groups

The inspiration for "Annie's Coats" came from a group of senior greyhounds in Victoria who were desperately in need of loving homes. Within a week of the call going out, a number of very special people, some with their own greyhound(s), took these beautiful creatures into their homes as long term fosters.
Not being able to take another grey myself - I wondered what I could do to help.
Being in the depth of a Melbourne winter and looking at my two fur kids all snuggled in the polar fleece pj's I had made for them, I set off on a mission to make coats for the "oldies". Some wonderful people donated fabric, others money, and within a short time all of the seniors had new coats to take with them to their foster/forever homes.
The coats were very popular and I started receiving requests to make coats for other greys.
So, in 2005, "Annie's Coats" was born. Since then I have made and donated over 1,000 adoption and foster coats to Greyhound Safety Net in Victoria, a couple of hundred coats to Greyhound Rescue in NSW, and I make and donate adoption coats for Gumtree Greys and other private greyhound rescue groups throughout Australia. The sale of coats from this site enable this to continue.
Annie's Coats also sponsors Greyhound fundraising events when funds allow.
